Experience an expedition through the highlands and islands in ultimate style. This is not just an expedition; this is an all-inclusive experience of some of the best adventure Scotland can offer!
The expedition begins by collecting all participants from their airport or station before heading to our hotel for an afternoon of planning, packing and getting to know one another, dinner at a restaurant and relaxing.
After breakfast the next day it will be an early start to meet the float plane to whisk you away to the remote Hebridean islands of Islay and Jura. On arrival in Jura we will begin our expedition aiming to explore the entirety of the Isle of Jura and its incredible wild coastline, beaches, mountain passes and the famous Paps of Jura. This island has very few inhabitants and just one road – you’re more likely to come across a herd of wild deer than you are another person!
On the last night of the expedition we will spend the night near a small fishing town called Craighouse where we will have chance to go out for a celebratory meal as a team. On the last morning we will take a high speed Rib out to the world famous Gulf of Corryvreckan to see the island from a brand new perspective, see one of the world’s largest whirlpools and spot seals, eagles, otters and maybe even dolphins and whales! Our expedition ends with a ferry and drive back across to the mainland dropping you back in Glasgow for an evening flight or train home.
This one-of-a-kind experience combines an incredible DofE Qualifier with some incredible sites and experiences to make this an expedition of a lifetime, if you are looking for the ultimate DofE experience this is it!
