Gold Walking – Qualifying Expedition

The Southern Highlands offers a never ending opportunity for getting off the beaten path and exploring remote wilderness valleys and summits. Your team will have the freedom to design a route that meets your aims; be that multiple 1000m peaks or remote lochsides and valleys.
Day 1 will see us getting to know each another, checking kit, creating expedition aims, planning routes, and refreshing your expedition skills. Your expedition starts on Day 2 with a drop off at the agreed start location to begin your journey into the wilderness for the next 4 days. Our team will support you in the wild as much or as little as you need, our aim is to back you up and mentor you, not impact your independence and chance to learn though adventure and experience.
A degree of fitness is required for this expedition – along with a big sense of adventure!
Expedition Summary, Inclusions, and Itinerary
What is included?
- All training and expedition guidance, route planning and instruction.
- All group expedition kit e.g., tents, cookers, fuel, first aid kits, map’s etc.
- The provision of accommodation as detailed in the itinerary
- Provision of qualified and experienced instructors, pastoral support and 24-hour emergency back up support in case of emergencies.
- A pre-expedition training session for the whole group via Teams/ Zoom etc.
