No Limits Development offer three types of “Open Expeditions” (Click on the dates to find out more)
Traditional Open Expeditions
These are perfect for individuals looking to complete their expedition as part of a mixed group. We provide a variety of dates, locations, and levels to hopefully accommodate your needs.
Small Group Bespoke Open Expeditions
These are perfect if you already have a team and perhaps the start of an idea. This approach will be bespoke to your group size and needs. Whether this be pushing the boundaries in terms of location or the level of adventure, or just tailored more towards your groups level of ability.
Why not take the opportunity to make this more than just a “DofE expedition”, we can work with you to add a B&B and train station transfers to the start of your expedition? Or maybe end your trip with a day’s stand-up paddle boarding and a celebratory meal out!

Expeditions without Limits” – Extraordinary and Unique Qualifying expeditions within the UK
Every year we offer a unique selection of open expedition’s which are truly amazing adventures and remarkable experiences. These off the beaten track expeditions provide the ultimate expedition experience…. But importantly are achievable by all.
These expeditions will provide you with skills and memories that last a lifetime, if you are looking for something out of the ordinary, that will truly challenge whilst visiting a unique area of the UK… this is for you!
Whilst all the below expeditions provide the option to be used as a qualifying Gold DofE Expedition, this is not a must. If you’d like to join one of these trips just because it looks awesome, and you’d like to be part of something special then this is an option too!
The next step
If you would like to book onto one of our Open Gold programmes you will need to be aged 16 to 24 and must be enrolled on to the Gold DofE Award and have an eDofE number. To join a qualifying expedition you must also have completed a training programme and a practice expedition.
